Component library
Wire harness component library with compatible terminals and seals
Harnessora's built-in component library brings together connectors, terminals, seals, accessories and loom. For supported components, Harnessora automatically selects compatible terminals and seals using the manufacturer-recommended combinations recorded in the library.
Manufacturer-guided terminal and seal selection
Harnessora's built-in component library brings together connectors, terminals, seals, accessories and loom. For supported components, Harnessora automatically selects compatible terminals and seals using the manufacturer-recommended combinations recorded in the library, so the engineer works from the drawing rather than a separate catalog.
What the library contains
The built-in library gathers the component families the harness engineer references from the drawing.
Connectors
Housings the harness terminates into. Selecting a connector in the drawing anchors the compatible terminal and seal choices the library records for that connector.
Terminals
Crimp contacts that fit specific connector families. Harnessora selects compatible terminals for a supported connector using the manufacturer-recommended combinations recorded in the library.
Seals
Wire seals paired with connectors and terminals. Where a supported connector has recorded seal recommendations, Harnessora selects them automatically alongside the terminal.
Accessories
Supporting components that live alongside connectors, captured in the library so they can be referenced from the harness design.
Loom
Wire protection captured in the library so it can be referenced from the harness design alongside the wires it protects.
From component selection to the harness drawing
The library supports the same wire harness design workflow the site already describes. Selecting library components during design is how the drawing captures the connectors, terminals, and seals the shop will build with.
Because the drawing is the single source, drawing-referenced library components flow into the outputs the shop uses: the bill of materials lists the connector housings and terminals the drawing calls out; the instant quote uses the drawing-derived component and wire information as a starting point for the estimator; the digital work instructions walk the operator through the same connectors the drawing shows.
The component library supports design and component selection. It is not a sixth generated output alongside work instructions, quote, BOM, formboard, and cut list.
